Factors & Divisors

A factor is a number that divides another number exactly, leaving no remainder.

Dividend = (Divisor × Quotient) + Remainder

(If Remainder is 0, the Divisor is a Factor)

Prime vs. Composite

  • Prime Exactly two factors (1 & itself).
  • Composite More than two factors.
  • 1 Neither prime nor composite.
